The first court session in Ohio took place on September 2, 1788, in a blockhouse at Marietta, Washington County. Arthur St. Clair, the first governor of what was then the Northwest Territory, organized the Court of Common Pleas when he established the county by proclamation on July 16, 1788. Walworth County Fair

Dubbed the "Great Fair" in 1918, the Walworth County Fair is one of the largest in the United States. Oxford Township, Butler County, Ohio - Oxford Township, also known as the College Township, is one of thirteen civil townships in the county and is located in the northwestern corner of Butler County, where it meets Preble County, Ohio, and Union County, Indiana. The city of Oxford and Miami University are located here.

Union Township, Clinton County, Ohio - Union Township, one of thirteen in Clinton County, Ohio, is located in the central part of the county and includes the city of Wilmington, the county seat. In 2000, the population was 14,929, up from 13,379 in 1990, and is most populous township in the county.
